About Us

My wife, daughter and I live in Ottawa which is 90 minutes from our cottages on Bobs Lake.  We are on the lake pretty much every weekend mid April to late October and love it there.  I'm a little obsessive about food and cooking which i think you will find is reflected in how i have equipped the kitchen and stocked the pantry at the cottage.  On the weekends you can normally find me busy barbecuing, grilling, slow roasting or rotisserie cooking something. Being Italian, I have also been known to host big outdoor spaghetti dinners; so far a group of 27 people has been the largest.

How We Got Here

Many years ago a high school friend invited me to his family’s cottage on Eagle Lake, which is 5 minutes from Bobs Lake.  That was my first time in the Land O’Lakes Region and I thought it was amazing. That and many more weekends spent at his cottage over the years planted the seed of cottage ownership.  I eventually met my wife who also shared the dream of having a cottage and at some point, I can’t recall when, we started looking for cottages. It took us 16 years but in 2013 we finally got our cottage.  Despite needing a lot of work the cottage and Bobs Lake is everything we hoped for. When the cottage next door came up for sale we had to do what we could to see if we could get it for ourselves.  Our desire for the other cottage was in part to ensure the continued enjoyment of our cottage and as a vacation rental property.  Autumn of this year, 2016, we finalized the purchase of Crow Bay Cottage (formerly known as Isaac’s Acres) and combined we have over 400 feet over private, boat access waterfront.  

Our Goal

We appreciate that most of us only have a few weeks vacation and we all deserve this time to be enjoyable. So our goal is to provide you with everything you hoped for in the cottage experience and more.   We've experienced the rental vacation experience at other cottages and resorts and know that sometimes it's the little things that make a difference which is why we offer a properly stocked pantry, unlimited internet, reliable new equipment, fresh clean linens and more. If there is something you'd like but don't see it - just ask and I'll do my best to see if we can find what you need.
