The perfect getaway.
Welcome to Crow Bay Cottages, formerly known as Isaac's Acres. The cottage is located on Bobs Lake on a private peninsula. It sits feet from the water edge, perched atop a large rock (Canadian Shield) jutting out of the lake, where you can sit and enjoy a view with your morning coffee, have lunch in full sun or enjoy diner as you watch the sun set.
One of the cottage's best features is its location and surrounding landscape. The cottage is located on the North mainland, which should be noted is referred to as Sunset Shores because of the magnificent sunset views, is only accessible by boat. However, not to worry, it's only a 2 minute trip from the marina and we have a 2016 16 foot JYS Pontoon boat available to you. Contrary to public belief, you do not need to have a watercraft license to operate it and the pontoon is a perfect shuttle, great for cruising the lake, fishing and is easy to operate. Down by the water there is a fire pit to roast a few s'mores, some deck chairs and tables, a canoe and the dock.
Accommodations
In the main cottage, Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and a separate entrance that opens onto the deck overlooking the lake. Bedroom 2 has two single platform beds that can be pushed together into a king bed if desired. The 3rd bedroom is located in the bunkie which sits just a little way up the hill side away from the activities of the main cottage. It's bright, has air conditioning and a comfortable queen bed. Over the kitchen, not depicted in the floor plan, is cozy single loft bed that can accommodate one adult or two children. The loft bed is accessible by down pull ladder. Additionally, the living room sofa easily folds down into a comfortable queen bed. Combined, Crow Bay Cottage can sleep up to 9 adults.

Kitchen and Cooking
I love cooking and I`ve made efforts to equip the cottage with everything you need to prepare a feast for your family and friends. The kitchen has your standard large appliances, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove/oven, but it also has a trash compactor for your convenience. You will find a good set of pots, pans, sharp knives, utensils and a complement of small countertop appliances including toaster oven, blender, mixer, food processor, and immersion blender to help you prepare meals. However, besides standard equipment, I have also included equipment I consider a must have in my kitchen. Equipment like a 6 in 1 digital pressure cooker. The digital pressure cooker lets you make chilli or cook a whole chicken dinner in 35 minutes. Osso Bucco or pull off the bone tender ribs in one hour. Another of my favourites is the Sous Vide Cooker - cook perfect 2 inch thick medium rare steaks while enjoying the lake. You also have a large propane BBQ with roastery and sear station, a charcoal BBQ/smoker for those of you who like traditional BBQ.
Of course we have coffee. I have selected one of the highest rated drip coffee machines. In terms of coffee quality, there is also a stainless steel percolator, if you prefer your old fashion coffee and milk steamer.
For the fishermen, we have fish cleaning station.
Dining and Living Area
Dining - Inside the main cottage there is a small dining table and chairs that can sit up to 6 or you can dine in the 11' x 12' screened deck at a rustic, personally handcrafted, live edge, solid black walnut harvest table and enjoy meals with your family and friends. The table can seat 10 and the cottage comes with place settings for 10.
The living room is bright with vaulted ceilings. Two doors that lead to either the screened deck and main deck with a beautiful view of the lake. Here you can relax on the sofa and enjoy the large flat screen cable TV or on the colder nights there's a wood stove to keep the chill out.
There is a deck that fully surrounds two sides of the cottage so you can relax with your favourite drink and a beautiful view. Additionally, after a day out on the lake, you, your friends and family can continue to enjoy the cottage and lake air in the 11 x 12 foot screened deck keeping out the mosquitoes - this is Ontario so yes we have mosquitoes!
Facilities - The cottage will feature a custom design build three piece bathroom that will included a shower, sink and indoor toilet. There is also an outdoor hot water shower.
Other Important Comforts
The Internet isn't a luxury anymore so it's important to us that we provided Unlimited Internet and good Wi-Fi coverage. However, we do not provide a phone and recommend you have a cell for your convenience.
Comfortable fresh bedding and some bathroom towels are provided but we recommend that you bring your own beach/swimming towels. For larger groups and week long stays we recommend you bring extra shampoo and soap as turnover service is only done between guest stays.
For your entertainment the cottage is equipped with two flat screen TVs. The main TV is a large flat screen located in the living room and comes equipped with satellite, Apple TV, (you required your own login account). The second flat screen satellite TV is mounted in the screened deck. Additionally, there's a selection of board games, several fresh packs of playing cards checkers, chess board and other items for the kids.
As previously mentioned there is a fire pit, some deck chairs and tables, and canoe if you want to casually explore the lake. Of course the Pontoon boat is available as well.

The Boat
One thing I've learned in my time on the lake is that old boats break down. I have taxied many renters and owners alike who couldn't get their boat started in the marina. I have also rescued people who's boats broke down on the lake. Old engines break down! So to manage that risk and make sure your stay with us is as safe and comfortable as possible we have invested in a brand new 2016 Sixteen foot JYS Pontoon boat equipped with Bimini top, bench seating all around, two removable fishing chairs and a 25 HP Evinrude e-Tec engine and a gps/fish finder so you can navigate the lake and find your way back to the cottage. The e-Tec engine is one of the most reliable and ecologically friendly engines made today. For your safety, the boat is equipped with the required safety gear. We provide 7 standard adult Canadian Coast Guard Certified Keyhole type lifejackets.
PLEASE NOTE - We do NOT provide children life jackets. It is important that you bring Canadian Coast Guard Certified life jackets specifically for your child or children size and weight.
